Review

This is official description

MP3 Workshop XP has five main functions, which can manage, play and revise your MP3 files easily , burn your own audio CD and make characteristic digit music for you at any time. With its file-manage function, you can make your own MP3 play list and play your preferred MP3 files within just a few clicks. You can also revise the Artist, Album, Title, Genre, Year for each MP3 file. The conversion function of MP3 Workshop can easily convert MP3 into Wave format by which you can burn your own CD. Vice versa, Wave format can be converted into MP3, with all the setup such as Channel mode, sample rate, bit rate totally adjustable.

The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 3.0

MP3 Workshop XP is a versatile multimedia tool that plays back your audio files, converts them, or splits them into pieces, and burns MP3 CDs. The program comes with a very user-friendly interface that lets you navigate between its various tools very easily.

It allows you to convert audio files either one by one or by making use of its batch mode, which can convert full folders containing audio files. The biggest disadvantage of the program is that the input and output audio formats are limited to MP3 and WAV. However, you can change the output audio quality of your files through the program's settings by adjusting the sample rate, the bit rate, and the number of audio channels. The good thing is that you can rip your audio CDs to MP3 directly using your preferred audio quality settings. The audio editor allows you to cut unwanted parts from any audio file just by defining new start and end points for that audio clip.

Shortly, the program is a very handy audio tool even though it comes with a very limited number of features. With a price tag of around 32 bucks, it is hardly good value for money, taking into account that the program crashed a few times when I was trying it, returning unknown errors. However, the fully functional trial version available will let you process 20 audio files - see if it can convince you to buy it.
  • Easy to use.
  • Handy-sized tool.
  • None.
